SSJ Gohan (Post Z Sword) v Base Gotenks (PRE Rosat)

 I have Gotenks [pre-RoSaT] around SSjin 2 Goku and SSjin 2 Majin Vegeta.

But the question is, did Gohan gain THAT much of an increase while in base? I highly doubt it. For such a short time training, I can't see Gohan attaining five times his normal strength. Seems farfetched, especially when most have trouble considering Goku attaining a three times increase over the three years he trained to face the Androids.

 Thats just it, i dont have gotenks that high an ssj2 in base, as a matter of fact when it comes to ssj2 i think he is just equal with the boys in that respect. Its their COMBINED power that makes gotenks able to turn ssj3 after all. and for that to happen the boys themselves would have been low tier ssj2's by the end of their rosat training. Their MSSj's were on that same level as well considering they never turned ssj2 on their own, just mssj and THEN fused into super gotenks. The Z sword puts gohan just around fat buus strength level whether above or below he can still hurt him, at ssj2? how is that possible for gohan who in base lifts and swings the z sword with ease and goku cant? Gohan whos mssj was weaker than vegetas went to mssj to even lift the sword, to base and swinging it freely, the weight of the sword DIDNT change, gohan did.

There wasnt a majin buu alive at the time who didnt rank into the ssj3 territory. And gohan can fight HIM? really now and he didnt get almost a whole form stronger in ALL of his forms? his base is equal to the mssj goku would need to swing the sword freely. Whether thats high or low power depends on your multiplier but its still there. Gohans ssj2 was a formk to be reckoned with even years later as vegeta worked hard and FAILED to catch up to it. Gohan lost about 28-35% of his power IMO, with the rust it ws no question why his fight with dabura was sloppy. with his ssj2 ALREADY being high tier from the jump, IMO kid gohan could have killed broly movie 10, hes not as strong as broly but he has a damn good chance of killing him.

With the z sword not only did gohan recover THAt power back, it pushed him beyond that and gave him almost a whole form of strength ahead of everyone, if goku did it he would have too. But gohan broke it. With the z sword training ssj3 goku could have fought super buu in base form too. No way to interpret that but as gohans ssj2 power going into ssj3 territory, hence his almost ssj4 type power with the ultimate enhancement.

well, gohan definitely got a zenkai, as well. i know it wasn't specifically mentioned, but he met the criteria when buu blasted him, and he was barely alive.

as for his final post z sword power. gohan had over a day with the sword, and only took one break. if we assume a normal training session is 2 hours, gohan had at least 12 sessions with the z sword. also remember that plot determines power. goku compared gohan to fat buu. so, ssj2 gohan ~ fat buu. we have to count down from gohan's ssj2 to get to his base and ssj levels.

by my numbers:

ssj3 goku 100
fat buu 80
ssj2 gohan 80
base gotenks 60
mssj gohan 20
ssj2 goku/vegeta 12.5
base gohan 10
ssj2 pre sword gohan 6.875

now granted, depending on someone's individual multipliers, the positions of everyone on this list could vary widely, but by my numbers, gohan became the epic badass everyone thought he was going to be.
